Recovery in Pictures

As part of the Recovery Month celebrations at IDAS Battersea 10 service users were given a disposable camera and a notebook and asked to take pictures of things that inspired them around their own recovery.

The original idea came from a service user earlier in the year and the results were truly uplifting.

An exhibition showcased the photographer’s favourite pieces and gave everyone an opportunity to recognise, enjoy and celebrate the achievements of the people involved in the project. The photographs were accompanied by a short explanation of why they took that picture and how they were feeling when it was taken.

The project offered service users the opportunity to look at their own recovery, both in the present and retrospectively.

Below you can see the photographs from the exhibition.
