CASA Family Service
At CASA Family Service we help children, young people and families who are affected by parental alcohol or drug use. We offer non-judgemental and respectful support to families living in Islington who have a child or children under 18 years of age. We also offer consultation and support to other professionals working with families affected by these issues.
When you come along for the first time, we usually meet with the parent or carer to talk about what support you need for your family and to tell you more about our service. We offer support to help strengthen parent – child relationships, improve communication and enhance family life. We focus on protective parenting, reducing the risk from parental drug and/or alcohol use and increasing children and young people’s resilience.
Parent talking about a child; “She’s noticed a lot of changes, since I’ve been coming here. She doesn’t see me drinking, she doesn’t see anything else you know, she’s quite happy with that”.
