Carers Weeks 2017

Last week was Carers Week, and Blenheim took part in a series of events to mark the occasion.

A team from our Drug & Alcohol Wellbeing Service (DAWS) attended three events across Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster, celebrating the work carers do for vulnerable people.

At the events, our team was able to refer a number of people for support to help them to care for anyone affected by drug or alcohol abuse. People were particularly interested in our Family and Carers service, which helps carers and families who are affected by a loved one’s addiction.

The events were a great opportunity to let carers know what’s available in the community to assist them, and also to speak to other organisations about how we can work together to offer the best possible support for local people.

We had a great time celebrating local carers, and will continue to do all we can to help them with the wonderful work they do every day.
