Celebrating Black History Month
For Black History Month Arch held an event on 26 October to honour black lives and culture over the last 100 years and beyond.
Service users, staff and the local community gathered to take part in African body art, share food from around the world, listen to poetry and spoken word performances.
Miriam Jassey, Blenheim Service Manager, said:
“Hillingdon is a diverse, dynamic and exciting area and this event celebrates the huge achievements of black people not only in our community but around the world.
We wanted to mark Black History Month with an event that celebrates different cultures and brings the whole community together.”
Black History Month is held annually during October to honour the achievements, culture, and the history of black people.
