Recovery Street Film Festival
04 June 2014
We are on the hunt for anyone who wants to share their story through film. This three minute film must be around the theme of deserving a future and focusing on living with the challenges of recovery. A judging panel of film industry experts will be selecting their chosen submissions to feature during six Recovery Street Film Festivals taking place this summer!
The festivals will be held on-line and in major cities hosting ‘pop-up’ recovery street cinemas showing the films around the UK in September 2014. Qualifying films, including those not selected by the judges for the festival, will also be available to watch and share on-line as part of education and insight around addiction and recovery. The festival is brought to you by a consortium of addiction treatment providers (www.recoverystreetfilmfestival.co.uk/partners/) with the aim to empower people affected by addiction. Not only will the judges favourites feature as part of the festival, there is also the small matter of the winner receiving £1000 worth of film related prizes!
Sounds great… how do I get involved?
Be creative and start making your 3 minute films, you don’t need to be a professional film maker and anyone can take part. Share and get the message out… You have until 28th July 2014 to submit! Full details including the festival theme, terms and conditions, how to make and submit your film are available on the Recovery Street Film Festival website at www.recoverystreetfilmfestival.co.uk/
