Update on Blenheim Services

It is with great sadness that we are announcing that Turning Point has taken a commercial decision not to extend our subcontract to deliver the Drug, Alcohol and Wellbeing service (DAWS) in Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster. Turning Point’s decision was taken despite the strong quality, performance and service user focus from Blenheim’s service.

Although we contested Turning Point’s decision, we feel that rather than formally pursue redress it is important that in line with our values, we prioritise providing clarity and a smooth transfer for service users and staff.

Blenheim has had a 55-year presence in these boroughs supporting adults and families that are affected by drug or alcohol use; however, we will continue working with young people in the area through the delivery of our separately commissioned Insight project.

We are very disappointed to no longer be able to work with the adult drug and alcohol treatment community that we have been part of for such a long time, including our service users, staff, colleagues and friends. We take considerable pride in our long history in the area and the countless people that we have supported through their recovery journeys over this time. As an organisation who have consistently prioritised collaboration over competition, Blenheim want to clarify that although we will no longer be contracted to deliver these services in Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Westminster, our unwavering commitment to serving these communities has not, and will not, change.

We will continue to work across these areas and are committed to pursuing our mission, vision and values in West London wherever there is a need and fund for services.

Blenheim will be doing everything we can to support staff and service users and will be working closely with Turning Point to minimise any negative impact on service users, staff and communities across these areas. This includes subcontracting our two local premises to Turning Point to ensure a smooth transition as possible.
